Conditions Related to HIV
If you are HIV+, your immune system is weaker than the immune system of people without HIV. A weakened immune system makes it much more difficult for your body to fight off infection. One way to maintain your body's existing defenses is to get treatment for your HIV infection.

However, even if you are on highly active antiretroviral therapy or HAART, there is a chance that your immune system will not provide the same protection that it used to.

This section is designed to help you understand why some rare health problems are more common among people with HIV. The information provided in this section will also help you understand what is happening in your body and give you the tools you need to do something about it! Lastly, this section has been designed to provide you with the information that you need to talk to your healthcare provider about symptoms and treatment options for various health conditions.
