Exercise and HIV
Exercise is a very important part of a healthy HIV+ lifestyle. Exercise does a number of things for you:

  • Relieves stress

  • Increases appetite

  • Strengthens and builds muscles (muscles store energy and protein that your body can use when fighting infection)

If you are HIV+, exercise plays an important role in keeping you healthy. It is important that exercise is something you enjoy and does not cause stress. Try to find something that you enjoy doing on a regular basis, such as dancing, running, walking, or swimming. Also, it is important to choose something that fits into your daily schedule.
